Using
Message Rules to Automatically put Message in Folder
Message
rules in Outlook and Outlook Express are a way of automating the
process of sorting your incoming mail into different folders. By
placing your mail in different folders, you can priroritize your
email, reviewing important emails first, and create groups of emails
from which Customer Contact can extract the email addresses.

Figure 8: Creating
a folder in Outlook Express
For
example, say you have an email link on your Web site where potential
customers will email you, such as sales@yourdomain.com.
If you create a folder in Outlook or Outlook Express called
"PreSales" and a message rule that moves automatically
places all email sent to sales@yourdomain.com
in the PreSales folder, then you can use Customer Contact to extract
the names and email address from all th emails in the PreSales folder,
so you may easily send them product and service offers in the future.
